ARTIST’S PROFILE

Niamh is an English/Irish Artist working from her East London studio after graduating in 2019 with a degree in Contemporary Arts from Bath Spa University. As well as international group exhibitions and three UK solo presentations, Niamh has been awarded residencies with Blue Shop Galleries, Print Club London and 44AD art space.

Her subject matter nods towards traditional still life whilst addressing everyday associations through mischievous imagery, domestic spaces and thick, impasto lines. Using mainly oil based materials and collage on canvas and paper, Niamh works from a combination of imagination, memory, drawings and photographs. 

Niamh was raised in North Devon, England and after studying Contemporary Art in Bath, she now works from her East London studio. Niamh’s work reveals overlooked beauty in everyday scenes. Harmonising cheerful elements with bold outlines, her art captures the essence of familiar and eclectic spaces. Using still-life motifs and vivid portraiture Niamh invites you to explore the richness of ordinary moments.
