Read about Marcos’ residency project in his own words…

“During the residency, I would like to focus on being present.

Lately, I find myself spending more time thinking about what I want to compose than actually composing—remembering what I will do and imagining what I did. I feel that in using the past and future as sources of inspiration, I am neglecting the present with all its potential.

I want to use the residency to explore different landscapes, eat at a slower pace, listen to other music, be far from home, compose new songs, play old ones, smoke less, write overdue letters, talk with other artists, show them what I did, what I do, what I will do; share all of this with them.”
