ARTIST’S PROFILE

Iria Cortizo (Pontevedra, ES – 1987) has given the reuse of objects and materials a particular discourse, one that never grows old. Through broken ceramics and signs from old stores she celebrates the imperfect and the hopeless by uniting two losers of modernity – a door to our memories.

Graduated in Fine Arts from the University of Vigo, she has participated in different exhibitions nationwide and her work has been awarded in several plastic and visual arts competitions.

She currently combines artistic practice with her work as a graphic and creative art designer at the Adolfo Domínguez fashion brand.
