ARTIST’S PROFILE

Mamen and Violeta are a creative tandem who have been working together for years now. Separately, Mamen is an editor and Violeta, an actress, but when they work together they write and produce their own projects. Right now they are developing their second film, “Ultraviolet”, a contemporary noir.

The project has gone through several script labs and now they are here at La Moissie Creative Residency to return to the essence… to the slow craftsmanship of writing the film they dreamt together.

They’ll use this time to talk about the script and about all the things that have changed and grown so much since they began working on this movie.

The movie also has another aspect, much more magical, much more oneiric, that they feel can only be accomplished away from the frantic city where they live. A facet of their film they believe they would be able to connect with here in the Perigord Noir.
